Holiday: ‘Eid al-Fitr’
‘Eid al-Fitr’ /ʕiːd al fitˤr/
Eid al-Fitr is a three-day festival whose date is different each year.
Eid al-Fitr is the end of Ramadan, Islam’s holy month of fasting. It is one of the most important holy days in Islam. It is a time of both prayer and celebration.
In addition to feasts, Muslims often exchange cards and gifts. Each culture will have its own traditions, too.
