An Education Franchise with a Coat of Arms

In recognition of the Saxoncourt Group’s contribution to global English education through Shane English School, in 1998 Shane English became the proud recipient of their very own Coat of Arms. This prestigious award has endowed Shane English Schools worldwide with tremendous honour and has further strengthened their dedication to excellence.

To date, Saxoncourt’s Shane English School remain the only language school of its kind to have received the honour of a heraldic crest issued by the College of Arms.

The Meaning Behind Shane English School’s Coat of Arms

  • The shield represents linguistic accomplishment.
  • The three Saxon crowns represent quality.
  • The birds are nightingales, which represent the peaceful joining of nations.
  • The trees are taken from the Lipscombe crest and symbolize the tree of knowledge.
  • Red and white are the colours of St. George, Patron Saint of England.
  • The Latin motto: Vox Anglica Vincit Omnia – The English Language Wins Over All.
