Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, so the date changes each year.
Ramadan is a month-long religious even observed in Muslim communities around the world. It celebrates Mohammed transmitting the words of the Qu’ran over a month.
Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset every day for the month of Ramadan. The purpose is to bring people closer to God and think more kindly of the poor.
