This Buddhist holiday is in late spring.
Also called Vesak, Buddha Purnima, or Buddha Day, this holiday is celebrated in Buddhist cultures. It celebrates the birth, Enlightenment, and death of Gautama Buddha.
People celebrate Vesak Day with lights, parades, and giving to the needy, though each culture will also have its own customs.
