It was a sunny day on March 26th, 2017, and Shane English School China’s Chengdu branch had two events to make burgers at KFC. The idea was to let children have a first-hand experience making burgers, and they got two chances. Everyone was able to make one real burger to eat, and another clay burger to go home. And it was a great success!
The atmosphere was very lively on that day. The children who came to KFC had a lot of fun with changed their clothes into the chef uniform. Nipping! Nipping! Nipping! Our native-speaking teacher Bennett (also May’s Saxoncourt Staff of the Month) brought us an interesting oral English lesson: he taught children how to describe the burger-making process in English. Then the got into doing if for themselves. The soft bread, crispy lettuce, yummy chicken nuggets… Everything looked fabulous. The parents were drooling!
Moreover, everyone also had a chance to make their own clay burgers to remind them of the fun they had making burgers for KFC. The light clay was moulded into yummy burgers and fries. It looked almost as good as the real thing! And it was just as much fun.
The burgers are ready! Would you like to have one?
It was an amazing day, Shane English Chengdu. All the parents Bennett and I hope that next time you can join us!
