Throughout December Shane students from around China took part in a traditional British pastime, while at the same time raising money to help a good cause.
Students from our Shanghai schools got creative in the run up to Christmas and submitted designs for traditional Christmas cards. The winning entries were then turned into a professionally-produced set of six cards, which were then sold to Shane students and parents in our franchises across China, so students could wish all their friends a Merry Christmas, while helping our annual Yunnan charity project.
All proceeds from the cards went directly to helping some of the most needy students in China. After raising a considerable amount to rebuild schools in the aftermath of the 2013 Yunnan earthquake, Shane English School China continued to support these schools and the hundreds of students affected by providing new classrooms and sports equipment.
SESC would like to extend its thanks to all students who submitted designs, and of course to everyone who took part by buying and sending Shaneโs own Christmas cards. Your continued efforts are greatly appreciated.
