Shane English School Thailand is very happy to announce the opening of its third DTE school in Thailand and its 5th school overall. The new school is located in TukCom, a popular IT shopping mall chain in Chonburi city, 40 miles north of Pattaya.
Thanapon (Managing Director of Shane in Thailand) and Thanya (General Manager) have put a huge amount of work into building this school. Thanapon did most of the designing of the school himself and worked a lot on the appearance and the feedback from visitors at the weekend was very good. The school is designed as a prototype for other schools which may be opened in shopping malls. Using only one hundred and eighteen square meters, the school includes four classrooms, a teachers’ room, a large front desk and a reception area. Most importantly it looks the part with chandeliers and the red, white and blue of the Union Jack featured prominently.
Last weekend on January 31st and February 1st a lot of students were very excited to join after attending the demonstration classes. We actually got so much interest that we had to schedule more demonstration classes for the following weekend. The Shane style has proved extremely popular in Thailand which is a great sign for the future.
Thanapon and Thanya were their usual energetic selves working tirelessly to sign up new students and to promote the school. Also putting in a great effort with games, level checks and smiles were Miss Dee and Apple who are the School Managers in Pattaya and Sattahip. It was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to the next one, possibly in April. It’s always nice to spend two days out the office playing little games and high-fiving children.
